Paula Beaty

I'm married with 2 wonderful children. My house seems to have become a zoo overnight, filling up with dogs and ferrets and who knows what else. I'm always on the go do this or that. After all, being a wife and mother is a full-time job. When do I get the chance to write you ask? Well I do my best to squeeze writing into my very hectic life. It's not easy sometimes but I manage to get it done. Somehow.

Christmas is Coming!

Okay so Christmas is coming and I am ready for it to be over already. I usually enjoy the holiday season even though it does tax my wallet. But this year its just so stressful. I guess because I have more on my plate than I did last year. I have done the unthinkable. I have published my first novel. Problem is if I can't get my mind back up to par I will only have the one and that isn't what I want. I know that I may never be able to quit my job and write full time, but I have this longing to see my books on the bookshelf at my nearest store. My mind just seems to be on overload. It is full of ideas for other stories, other characters, and even children's book ideas for both my sons age group (8-13) and my daughters age group (2-6) so I am extremely overwhelmed with everything. I can't make my AADD calm down enough to concentrate on one thing. I have been working overtime so much for the past two months that my house looks like a tornado took a vacation in it. Maybe once the holidays are past I can settle back into my normal routine (whatever the heck that is) and get back to writing. I so want to have another pubbed book by my 30th b-day in June. Merry Christmas to you all! Have a safe holiday season.

I didn't realize we're the same age - I turn 30 in May.

You need to finish Cowboy. Enough of this. Unless something grabs you the way Night Stalker did. That may be what's going on - The first half of NS wrote itself (your words, not mine) and it was only the seond half I had to nag out of your brain. You're waiting for half a book :)

Did I tell you I had a dream where S is fighting with X and he takes off his leg to make it a fair fight? So funny. Still kicks city boys arse too.

Congrats on getting your story published! It always add more pressure. Just write down all those ideas bubbling in your brain. You can't afford to lose them.

Dreaming about Seamus can be hazardous to your health Jenna, trust me. Sometimes long for my amputee boy myself. Just wish he would come out and play and tell me the rest of the story dam it. Well I have all next week to write and I will finish another two chapters I swear by ...well I just swear thats all! :)
