I need a break!

Okay so writing has been going but not how I wish. I have decided to write it down as it comes to me. Problem is it is coming at me in pieces and from different chapters in the book. So what I have done is made an outline of Broken Cowboy hitting the main points I see happening in the book, then when these flashes come to me I am typing what chapter they appear in the outline and then typing away as the moment takes me. So depending on how you look at book writing I am almost halfway done according to the word count, but not halfway done if you count from the first page to the middle. But hey as long as the writing is coming, who cares how it gets done as long as it gets done. I set a deadline for myself to have Broken Cowboy's first draft done by the end of February, and I mean to keep that deadline. But for now I need a break. If I force it it isn't going to sound right and major rewrites will be in order, so for now I have taken a little time for myself and am reading Iris Jahansen's newest book ON THE RUN. I love it, but then again I love all her books. What gets me is that alot of her books are pretty mucht the same thing, strong mercenary type hero and strong willed, stubborn heroine who knows how to take care of herself but loves to have the hero take care of her. Thing is she always writes the characters so that they endear themselves in your heart and you remember them long after you've put the book down. My goal is to one day be half the writer she is because she is great. Well off to relax...oops I am at work, guess I better try to do something constructive with my time. :)
