I Won!! I Won!!

Okay so writing hasn't exactly been going as planned. Too much REAL life has been butting in, but I got the go ahead to share some good news so here it goes. I won!!!!!!!!!! I entered the Carly Phillips/Harlequin Sports Escape Fund Contest back in July. You had to write a short (100 words or less) essay about why you felt you needed an escape from hubby and sports and I won!!!!! $1,000. I was so freaked out when I got the paperwork in the mail. My husband was skepticl because we constantly get these phone calls telling us we have won cars or trips there is always a catch so he of course wanted to know what the catch was now. I told him there was no catch. I won!!! Funny that after all these years of putting up with him and my son's obsession with watching ESPN and flipping from one football game to the next I finally got a pay-off for my angst. Wonderful feeling I just cannot explain in words so I will just do.....the snoopy dance! :) I love winning. Now on to writing dang it, I just want to finish one more manuscript before the end of 2006.
