NaNoWriMo is under way!

That's right folks! NaNoWriMo is officially inseason. For those of you who don't know what that is I'll explain. National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo for short is 30 days to write 50,000 words. The one month out of the year you challenge yourself to completely go insane...I mean write a novel. LOL! I have accepted the challenge and have shamelessly fallen flat the first day. I have a story in mind. I have my hero (Joaquin Phoenix) and heroine (Denise Richards) picked out. No that isn't their names, that is the stars I think the people who live in my head most resemble. It helps us writers to keep our muses straight if we have a visual. So links to fantastic pics of these stars are saved as favorites on my laptop and now all I have to do is write their story. They popped into my head a while ago but i was working on something else at the time so I put them on the back burner just for NaNoWriMo. I am supposed to aim for writing 1,667 words per day. Today a big fat ZERO! That means that now I am just that much more behind. I will catch up though. I am determined to finish another novel and sell it to my publisher. Which brings me to my side note....Night Stalker has sold over 1,000 copies. Not much when you look at how many millions of books Iris Johansen, Sara Paretsky, Stephen King and the like have published, but in my book a hell of lot better than I ever dreamed. I love it when a plan comes together. Well off to spend time with my honey before I have to slip into dream land. Laterz
